The Space Between (Season Three) builds on the belief that conversation—especially when bridging different realities—can expand our collective ability to imagine better futures. Anchored in thinking about space—how it is shaped and inhabited—the podcast creates a platform for shared knowledge, unexpected common ground, and real-world action. This season deepens KoozArch’s commitment to intersectional dialogue, bringing together activists, architects, artists, writers, legal scholars, photographers, and dreamers. Addressing questions of citizenship, dignity, preservation, and surveillance, esteemed speakers illuminate the often overlooked political and ethical ramifications of design and interdisciplinary thinking. While still engaging urgent questions of climate, displacement, and technological control, the series marks a more reflective pace, embracing longer perspectives on how space, rights, and collective memory are shaped and sustained. Through candid conversations on innovative and liberatory thinking, Season Three aims to reenchant listeners while fostering authentic, inclusive, and accessible discussion. The Space Between continues to embrace curiosity, debate, and delight, making critical questions engaging and freely available to a broad, non-disciplinary audience.
Shumi Bose is chief editor at KoozArch. She is an educator, curator, and editor in the field of architecture and architectural history. Bose is a senior lecturer in architectural history at Central Saint Martins and an adjunct professor at Syracuse University School of Architecture in London; she also teaches regularly at TU Wien, the Royal College of Art, and the Architectural Association. She has curated widely, including exhibitions at the Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 2020 she founded Holdspace, a digital platform for extracurricular discussions in architectural education, and currently serves as trustee of the Architecture Foundation.
Federica Sofia Zambeletti is the founder and managing director of KoozArch. She is an architect, researcher, and storyteller whose interests lie at the intersection of art, architecture, and regenerative practices. Zambeletti founded KoozArch with the ambition of creating a space in which to research, explore, and discuss architecture beyond the limits of its built form. Prior to dedicating her full attention to KoozArch, Zambeletti collaborated with the architecture studio and nonprofit agency for change UNA/UNLESS, working on numerous cultural projects and on the research of Antarctic Resolution. Zambeletti is an alumna of the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London.
KoozArch is an independent publication platform and research-driven studio exploring diverse architectural and design realities. Founded in 2014 as a platform for student work, it has evolved since 2022 into a media platform and research studio. Embracing a multigenerational and multidisciplinary discourse, KoozArch believes architecture must engage with critical, speculative, and propositional questions—such as: What if we inhabited our planet differently? From research to practice and from pixel to brick, KoozArch challenges the historically and measurably extractive nature of architecture in favor of more regenerative and accessible modes of practice. KoozArch creates, discusses, and disseminates these propositional and planetary futures through its digital magazine, as well as exhibitions, events, publications, and partnerships.
